100% Design Central Bar

Earls Court, London
2011

The design for the Central Bar at the 100% Design exhibition, Earl Court, was the winning entry in an invited competition curated by The Architecture Foundation and 100% Design

The design proposed a unique bar area that can reconfigure itself daily and hourly. Through a system of moving and suspended props, or “architectural characters”, falling curtains and changeable lighting evolved the central bar into a multifunctional space.

Project Team

Collaborating on the project were theatre consultants Charcoal Blue and Arup Engineers.
